Privacy Policy

I'm a one-person business and I take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information I collect when you visit my shop or buy a pattern, how I use it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, you're always welcome to email me at hello@Projectarian.com.

WHAT I COLLECT

When you shop with me or sign up to my mailing list, I may collect:

  • Your name and email address
  • Billing and contact details you enter at checkout
  • Your order history (which patterns you've bought)
  • Payment information — though this is handled securely by my payment providers, never stored by me
  • Basic technical and browsing information (like your device and which pages you visit) to help my shop run smoothly

HOW I USE IT

I only use your information to run my little shop properly:

  • To deliver your patterns and send your receipt and download links
  • To give you access to your past purchases in your account
  • To help you when you contact me for support
  • To send you updates and marketing emails — but only if you've chosen to join my mailing list
  • To keep my shop secure and make it better over time

MY MAILING LIST

I'd love to keep in touch, but only if you want me to. You'll only receive marketing emails from me if you've opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. Unsubscribing will never affect the patterns you've already bought — you'll always have access to those.

WHO I SHARE IT WITH

I never sell your personal information. I only share it with the trusted services that help me run my shop, and only as far as they need it to do their job:

  • My online shop platform, which hosts the store and processes orders
  • My payment providers (such as PayFast and PayPal) to take payment securely
  • My mailing-list provider, to send your receipts and the newsletters you've signed up for
  • Analytics tools that help me understand how my shop is used

Each of these has its own privacy policy and handles your information responsibly.

COOKIES

Like most websites, my shop uses cookies — small files that help things work properly, remember your cart, and let me see how the shop is being used so I can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

YOUR RIGHTS

It's your information, so you're in control. You can ask me to:

  • See what personal information I hold about you
  • Correct anything that's wrong
  • Delete your information (where I'm not required to keep it, for example for order or tax records)
  • Unsubscribe from my emails at any time

KEEPING YOUR INFORMATION SAFE

I take reasonable steps to keep your information secure, and I only keep it for as long as I need it to run my shop and meet my legal obligations.

A NOTE ON WHERE I'M BASED

I'm a South African designer with customers all over the world, so your information may be processed and stored in different countries by me and the services I use. Wherever it goes, it's handled with the same care.

CHILDREN

My shop isn't aimed at children, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If I ever update this policy, I'll post the new version right here, so it's worth checking back now and then.
